David Kemp
David is a performance development professional with proven leadership, facilitation and coaching skills. He is a CIPD accredited coach through the Oxford School of Coaching & Mentoring.
His coaching experience and achievements extend from military personnel to disaffected teenagers, professional sales teams and amateur sports teams through to managing directors and volunteer youth workers. He is as effective and at ease with the CEO of a listed plc as with the entrepreneur of a fledgling small business
On completion of a short career commission with the Royal Navy David joined the Financial Times before moving to a FTSE 100 company where he was responsible for implementing their innovative change programme - an initiative crucial to the success of the company’s ambitious mergers and acquisitions programme and which resulted in market capitalisation increasing from £240m to £2.4bn and the number of employees rising from 50 000 to 175 000.
Joining an international training consultancy, David built on his commercial experience and now makes a positive impact on individual and organisational performance through coaching and development. .
His grasp of business imperatives and understanding of the positive impact a focused Corporate Social Responsibility Programme has on sustainable business performance enables him to align the needs of the individual with the organisation’s strategic goals to the benefit of all stakeholders
His success in facilitating partnerships with education, business and the voluntary sector has led to a ground breaking personal & professional development initiative which gained university accreditation. Sport England also recognised David’s achievements with a Volunteer Investment Programme Award for 3 consecutive years.
Examples of the community work he has undertaken include the directorship of a youth charity, working as a business liaison ambassador for UNICEF, a seat on the area board of Young Enterprise as well as vice chair of his local Volunteer Bureau Advisory Group.
He is passionate about the individual dignity entitlement of all employees and works with organisations to improve their performance by nurturing their people and embracing change.
